The Book in Motion
Forty seconds with Sleepy Star as it stands in October 2026: the cover, the bedtime pass in its pouch inside the front cover, four of Gary Wilkinson's illustrations, and the lift-the-flap page where a parent writes the night's bedtime step.
What the Video Shows
-
The Bedtime Pass
A card in a clear pouch inside the front cover. It stands for one brief exit from the room after goodnight.
-
The Flap Page
Each bedtime step sits under a fold-out flap. A parent writes the words or draws the step on the dry-erase inside, the child completes it, and a quick wipe resets it for the next night.
-
Gary Wilkinson's Illustrations
Four of the new pieces turn past in the video: the rocket, the painting, getting dressed, and the Moon.
About the Book
A science-based bedtime book for parents of children ages three to six, co-authored with Dr. Derek Reed. Parents read the book with their child as the bedtime routine, and the steps are distributed across the reading rather than run back-to-back.
