How we handle your information.
Who we are
Universal Behavioral Consulting Services (UBCS) is a behavior analytic consulting practice owned by Dr. Kevin Luczynski, PhD, BCBA-D. Based in Omaha, Nebraska. This policy covers information you share through universalbcs.com, the contact form, email, and phone.
What we collect
From you, when you contact us: name, email, phone, your child's first name if you share it, what you would like support with, and dates you are free for a call. Only your email is required.
Automatically, when you visit the site: pages viewed, referring site, browser type, and selected interaction events, such as opening the contact form, submitting the form, or following a link to Atomic Parenting. PostHog uses technical request information to create a short-lived, privacy-preserving visitor identifier and discards the IP address rather than storing it with the event.
We do not collect financial information. We do not bill insurance.
How we use it
To respond to your inquiry, schedule a scoping call, follow up about a potential or active engagement, understand which pages and referral sources lead to inquiries, and improve the website. We do not use it for advertising, retargeting, or sale to third parties.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the following service providers, each of whom is limited by contract to using it on our behalf:
- Tally: processes and stores your contact form submissions.
- Vercel: hosts universalbcs.com and provides basic website and performance analytics.
- PostHog: provides cookieless website and conversion analytics. PostHog does not receive contact-form answers, names, email addresses, phone numbers, or clinical information from our tracking code.
- Microsoft Outlook: hosts our email at Dr.L@universalbcs.com.
We also share when you ask us to (such as coordinating with your child's pediatrician or school), when required by law, or when needed to prevent imminent harm to a child.
Cookies and tracking
Our PostHog setup runs in cookieless mode and does not store PostHog data in cookies, local storage, or session storage. Session replay, broad click autocapture, heatmaps, console recording, performance and network capture, and automatic error capture are disabled. We collect page views and a limited set of named events that measure consultation, email, phone, Atomic Parenting, sleep-program, and outbound-link actions. When the Tally form reports a successful submission, we record only that a submission occurred; we do not send the form answers or submission identifiers to PostHog.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or advertising trackers. The Tally contact form may set a functional cookie within its iframe to manage your submission session; that cookie is set by Tally, not by us, and does not track you across other sites.
How long we keep it
Inquiry information from people who do not become clients: up to two years, then deleted. Client engagement records: seven years from the last date of service, in line with professional record-keeping standards. PostHog website events: up to seven years under the current project retention setting. Session replay is disabled.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Email Dr.L@universalbcs.com with the subject "Privacy Request" and we will respond within 45 days. We will verify your identity first.
California residents have rights under CCPA and CPRA, including the right to know categories of personal information collected and to whom it is shared. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Delaware, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, and Tennessee have similar rights under their respective state privacy laws.
Children
This site is for parents, caregivers, school staff, and clinical professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you, as a parent or caregiver, choose to share information about your child, it is used only to prepare for and provide consulting services to your family.
Changes
We update this policy from time to time. The dates at the top reflect the most recent revision. Material changes are noted on the homepage for at least 30 days.
